bmw or saab

Im buying a new car at the moment. im currently trying to choose between either a 01/02 bmw 530d sport or a 05/06 saab 9-3 vector 1.9tid 150BHP. Any body have any opinions on these cars they both work out at nearly the same money.
Or is there any other models i should be looking at looking at. The car has to be diesel, and manual preferably with leather. Thanks.

The bmw is gonna be in a very high tax bracket (€1491/annum) while the saab will be about 1/3rd of that. I'd still go for the 530d though:D

The fuel pumps can be troublesome on 530d's - fitting them isn't a very hard or costly job but the pumps can be expensive. Bushings and control arms can go as well (but it's the same with any other car) and most can be done for relatively cheap cost, labour-wise. They are very comfortable and quick cars, although I think auto boxes are more common than manuals.

Can't comment on the saab.

They're Opel engines.

I'm guessing Ford TDCI as opposed to TDDI is what you meant.

I'd love the Beemer, but the Saab would do until I could afford to run it.

where do i start? se model, se irish model in fact, se worth 4k less than a high spec uk sport model with Black leather which is much better than grey, sensors front and rear, heating dials not button type, crappy alloys plus hes looking for an auto. also green not nice color sterling grey far better.
