Upgrade from Sky+ to HD

I have a Sky+ box with Sky World package. I also have an old Grundig box with a UK viewing card. This was the easiest way to get C4 & C5.
I plan to upgrade to HD & have a few queries:

    1. Do I get to keep my existing Sky+ box ?

    2. If so I assume that my existing Irish viewing card will go in the HD box. Is there any way of transfering my UK card into the old Sky+ box & retaining the recording function ?. Now that C4 & C5 are available here is there any benefit in keeping the UK card ?

If possible I would like to use the old Sky+ box as a second recording option.

Are there any other relevant things that I should be wary of prior to upgrading ?

    Thanks

You get to keep your sky+ box and can take out a multiroom contract with sky and have the box in a different room!!

No chance of ever being able to record channel 5!!You can now watch it via other channels so all channels are available here now so the card isnt really needed anymore

Does this mean that the record function on my existing Sky+ will be useless unless I go multiroom which will give me an additional viewing card for my old Sky + ?

yup . also no way of viewing what is on the box. (unless you swap your card from the new hd box)
