"Unresponsive script"

Quite often, and I think increasingly often, when I browse to a site I get a message warning me of an unresponsive script, and giving me options to ignore it (which I invariably take) or to wait.

My browser of choice is Firefox, and the script is identified as "chrome://global/content/bindings/browser.xml:0".

Can anybody tell me what it is? Even better, can anybody tell me how to get rid of it?

[Before people tell me that I shouldn't visit dodgy sites, let me tell you I often get the warning when coming to boards.ie.]
