I remember seeing that done on Candid Camera or smiliar years ago - The bike was locked normally to the post, they came along and dismantled the signed and left it looking like your pic.

I'm sure the bike's owner saw the funny side.

+1 Photoshop. Flash shadow to right of post projected on wall but not on crossbar. Very easy to do for real anyhow.

It would be a pretty easy photoshop job.. but if I was doing it , I would just copy a section of the pole, and paste over the crossbar.

The opposite is also true. (ie. copy some crossbar and paste over the pole and cut out the section between the crossbar and cable. ) See attachment.. which took about 5 mins max. There are some noticble lines, which are quite tricky fix, but it is doable.

This would make no difference to the shadows , in any way.
Are you suggesting the whole bike is copied from somewhere, and added in with the gaps between the spokes cut out to blend in with the street, and then added shadows. Again, probably doable, but would take hours, and going to the pub on a saturday night is preferable in my book.

As it happens, this photo was taken on the street between IFI and Fitzsimons in Temple Bar at about 1am, last saturday night, sunday morning.

The pole has no sign on it... , so would be quite easy to get the bike up over it, ... if you are tall.

I suppose, people will just have to believe what every they want.

    No.

Was just passing on the way from one pub to another, and it was on its side.
And I went to pick it up, and for a moment (or two or three) I could not understand why I could not get it to go straight.

So I took the photo ( the first one) which is now being compared the "falsified moon landings , on account of the shadows" ???
I straightened it up a bit, went on to the pub... Dont know what happened to it after that.
