Haven't seen it, but looked up the trailer and have to say, it looks god-awful formulaic tripe.

I've been a big fan of Asian horror before, but all the innovation is gone and all that's left is third rate hacks recycling tired clichés. God knows, the likes of Miike, Tsukamoto, Nakata and Shimizu made some fantastic films, but while their influence is felt in a lot of films, there's none of the originality that made their work such a joy. Boy do I long for another punch out of nowhere like Visitor Q again.

hmm bad movie, prob 4/10 had some spook scenes but the ring is miles better, but them japs are crazy ba$tards

*but i stil love the asian flicks....

actually shutter is quite good
