the last thread on this course was a little bit out of date. Im considering doing this course and i was hoping to get some opinions on it. I've heard mixed reviews about dbs but chioces seem to be limited regarding a part time psychology degree. Any advice/suggestions would be appreciated. i already have a BSc so i do have the option of doing post grad in psychotherapy but i wonder if i'd be more competent with the psychology qualification first.

Hi, I'm hoping to start this course in January , I'm hoping to transfer from a full time day course, if i can get my old college to sort my transcript out. Psychotherapy and Psychology are two slightly different aeras, it might be worth bearing in mind that a degree in psychology dosent automatically make you a psychologust

Loads of people have psychology degrees - I would do a postgrad instead if I had the choice.

I would also try to go to a non-private college if that's an option.

I would also like to do a distance learning course in the area of Psychology. I have no relevant qualifications or honours degrees that I see are required for some courses. Any suggestions welcome.

I am looking into doing this starting in September. I would be a mature student and hoping to work during the day and attend the course during the evening. I was wondering if anyone could help me out and pm me and let me know what they think of the course.

How difficult is the course to get into?
Would it be hard for someone who has been out of education for the best part of a decade to get to grips with the course?
What is the financial cost of the cost per year?

I have already been in contact with the college but any help a student could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

I have just begun a distance learning course with Kilroy's College. It cost me somthing like 600 euro. It comes in 12 units with a booklet of notes for each & one text book. I haven't sent in my first homework yet, which only required 1-2 words from the notes for each answer - very basic. I am doing it purely for personal interest so I don't need anything too detailed. I am enjoying it though.

P.S. I have also been out of education c. 20 years also but that hasn't been a problem so far.
