Unfortunately, the winning bidder for the Saracen has had to withdraw, this will be relisted until Midday Monday, winning bidder needs to get funds to me by Midnight Monday.

    As before:
Paul Carey of HRTA has very kindly offered up the chance to drive his Saracen APC with all funds going to the Santa Strike Force.

For those of you who haven't seen one before the Saracen Armored Personnel Carrier looks like this:
    Saracen.jpg

More details can be found on it here: http://www.military-vehicle.net/vcls/saracen.htm

    Rules:

All bids must take place on this thread.
All bids must be clear and concise. e.g. Bid: €10, not "ah sure ill throw ya a tenner"
Closing time is midnight Friday 19th, bid time will be taken by the recorded time of the post.
Driving will take place at HRTA, Ballyboughal in January (Date undecided yet, can be confirmed between the winning bidder and Paul Carey)
Driving will not be done during a skirmish.
Final amount must be paid either via Paypal or in cash to myself or Paul Carey by midnight Monday 22nd, if the winning bidder fails to pay, the next highest bid wins, if paying by paypal, you must add the required amount extra to cover Paypal fees.

There will be 1 hour of time in the vehicle between training (it's not like driving a car) and actual driving around. This may not seem like much, but it actually is a good deal of time.

All funds will be lodged directly into the Santa Strike Force bank account by myself along with the cash which was raised last Sunday evening at the Airsoft Beers.

    Any questions, please PM me.

    Good luck.

    Keith

    Bid €20.

I've no chance of getting anywhere close to the previous thread's bids but just to get the ball rolling. :)

Keith would this not have fallen back to the 2nd highest bidder in the original bid as stated in the rules?

Just a quick note to mention how sorry I am that I wasn't able to buy this in the end, I would give my left nut to drive a Saracen but sadly something came up between making the bid and the end of the auction that caused me to really be in no position to buy it. I've explained to Keith via PM and I'm really, really sorry for the hassle lads!

Whoever does get to win this cracking prize had better take some good pics!!

unfortunately the second highest bidder was unable to match the original bid and it was easier to just relist.

If its ok with all relevant parties, and I can get out, I'll make a video of it, youtube it and give the driver a DVD of it. Its up to paul + the winning bidder:)

And many thanks to Lemming for prompt payment, collected it tonight.

Going to the bank in person tomorrow morning to lodge directly into the SSF account and full details of the breakdown of funds raised will be posted tomorrow evening.
