If the owner of an internet-based sole trader or limited company where to move abroad 6 months after going into business, what would happen? Could they just continue doing business under Ireland's laws, pay Irish taxes etc? Would they have to shut down the Irish business and set up again abroad or could they just transfer…

I would appreciate any advice.

Im not sure about a sole trader, but a limited company is a legal entity in its own right, if the company is registered in Ireland at least one of the directors must be resident in Ireland see leaflet 17 below:
