Quick one for any TC owners. Trying to set one up here but I've an issue with it whereby I set it up to join my current network, it takes the settings, restarts and then AirPort Utility gives an error about it saving the settings but not being able to work. What's gone wrong here? All I want from it is to be a wireless backup drive, rather then a router, etc.

Incidentally, my modem/router is the standard netopia one with eircom...
    Cheers guys & gals...

why don't you use it as a router as well? It's better than the netopia. Just turn off the wireless in Netopia control panel.

We've another laptop in the house used for work, via VNC, and Apple have an inherent hatred of such things so it can't be used as a router without having to constantly switch between routers..

Should be no hassle with VNC once you open the ports mayhem. I would try use it as a wireless router too....try and configure it. You might be pleasantly surprised!.

Yep, not sure why you would have issues with VNC... I use a Windows XP VM to VPN to work, use VNC for some servers and LogMeIn for supporting family members' PCs - never had any issues requiring reconfiguring my Airport Extreme for all of these, so can't see why there would be issues using the TC as your main router. Plus you'd get 802.11n on your internal network...
