    My nominations

    Dublin v Meath

After Parnellgate, this thread had a lot of discussion.

    Dublin v Westmeath

Had a lot of talk about football, performances, booing, styles of football and the infamous Collie Moran tackle and trial by media and I also predicted Dessie Dolan would choke which he did after missing 2 free kicks in front of goal.

    Dublin v Wexford

A lot of discussion on the Dublin v Wexford Leinster Final.Lots of predictions and disagreements/agreements.Highlight was Pridefighter stating that Dublin would maul Wexford by 12 points and Cruiserweight took exception to this and betted money or a drink.Pridefighter has not consumed the said drink yet.:pac:

Cynical Kerry masked by talented footballers

Interesting thread which again had a lot of discussion about Kerry and whether they were cynical or not.

    Wexford v Tyrone

Discussion about football and nothing else.

Interesting you mention Collie Moran. I remember starting a thread called
'A Right Moran' after the sending off. Lead to some heated opinions:D

    Touché.:(:pac:

A great soccer quote came to mind when Tyrone put over two points in the space of a minute against Kerry in the final.

After the first one went over....."They think its all over".

Tv cuts to Tyrone fans cheering then immediately to the ball going back over the bar......"it is now".:D:D:D:D

Appropiate enough given that both teams this phrase was used around wore white and red jerseys and were from br---n:D

Hey I was more than willing to pay up, he turned it down. Interesting to see if I can ban another moderator :pac::pac::pac:

Not from this year, but my favourite thread was the Laois vs Louth thread that was started in 2007 before Louth had even played Wexford :)

That was very funny. The satisfaction of the win was enough for me:). I'd give the best thread of the year to the Cynical Kerry thread.

The Cork hurling thread has to be a late runner too. Some very good discussion been going on there for the past 2 months or so.

On a more personal level, the Waterford vs Tipp and Kilkenny topics were great to read back on. The Tipp thread obviously for the fond memories it brings, and the KK thread for reminding me of the insane build up to that game. I just make sure to stop reading from the 7th September onwards ;)

A few trolls on it, but a decent thread considering the way they usually go!

Ah, my No.1. Had me in stitches. Keeping his sense of humour after that annihilation is worth an award.

Oh no please don't tell us that we'll see David Moran and Brian Dooher in midfield while Darragh O Se (big juicy rumour down in Kerry) will pick up the full back position partnered by Davy Harte and Ricey McMenamin.

Now thats a Kingdom but like King Lir,you know what happens when egos are stroked too much.:D:D:D

I dunno man, there were a lot of people talking through their h***s on that thread; The kind that think "I've never missed a Cork match" makes them loyal and all knowing servants of the GAA...
