some decent prices, but have never seen most of those higher end clubs on sale in jjb shops here. Also I think the jjbs have all closed down here? Or at least have been having closing down sales for last few months and have no golf equipment.

Sprucefield in Lisburn have some Callaways, Pings, Nikes and Taylormades........Ping G10 Irons are £399 (I think). The stock levels aren't great and most will go quickly.

jjb arnt closing or wont be in the near future the recent sale they had was called a "closing sale" which led to a lot of confusion according to a friend who works there. they are also very competitive for golf products

weird, the two in dublin only had a few racks of junk left the last time I was there, seemed to be getting ready to shut up shop, although it does seem to have dragged on as if they are getting new stock in.

I bought a Taylormade rescue wood.

They had some Callaway rescue woods at about half rrp.

I was also looking for a Titleist wedge but they only had 60 deg ones.

How much did it set you back, Stockdam? If you don't mind me asking.

    Strange.

I was in the one in the Square about 2 months ago and could've sworn they were having a "we're about to be toast" sale. Not just because the sign said "closing" but because a load of the shelves were empty and the rest looked like they were just flogging whatever dregs of stock were left.

That said, I went in looking for astro runners and spotted a pair of Nike golf shoes for €25. "Waverly Last" is the model I think. Can't imagine they're the high end ones but I'll try em in the summer.

£50 which isn't that much of a saving. They had some Wilson Staff ones for £20 I think which is a good price for a reasonable club.

They had a burst pipe or something in the Square JJB store a few months back and while they were selling off their stock, they also became a dumping ground for their UK branches. There have been great bargains in gear, if you're prepared to buy last year's models and sift through a lot of garbage.
I'm not sure if they plan to relaunch the store in the New Year or continue to use it as a bargain outlet...
