Locking a Ford Escort Ghia

    Hi All

    I had the bizarrest scary situation today, I was parked outside a londis and this woman in her 50's all disoriented opened my passenger door jumped in and did up the seat belt. I took my keys out of the ignition and went round to her side of the car and tried to get her out by reason until my husband came back and took her by the arm and led her into the londis where they called the guards to give her a lift home...I had my two small children in the car who by that stage were beside themselves. Anyway that is the story my question to anyone out there is how the heck can I lock myself in my car which is a ford escort ghia with no manual internal locks when I get out I lock it with a key but that does not solve a problem such as this one?? Is there a way to do this?? there must be??

    Just push in the door opening handle once you're inside.

    ahh thanks for that!!...God knew it had to be something basic!! that will eliminate the random women jumping into my car!!

    Lol, the mother(driving a red Golf) was outside a post office waiting for her mother to come out. Anywho 5 mins later out she walks, and goes straight to the first red car she see's (a Celica with some young fella driving it) and sits in beside him. Haha she was mortified:D
