Yes like most people i'm having a problem getting Nat 1.
Didn't think it was possible to get till someone that lives near by got it on his.
He's tried but failed and i have tried the YouTube video and read the posts in this forum but still can't get it.
Going to post below what i've tried to see can someone spot where i'm going wrong.

Netgear : DG834N. is the router i'm using.
Have rang eircom and confirmed my user name and password is eircom and broadband1.
Am i right that the password and user name will still be the same?

So i've entered the user name and password for the PPPoE and
have tried entering the dns as eircom's
    213:94:190:194
    213:94:190:236
    and tried
    4:2:2:1
    4:2:2:2

Set the MTU to 1942 as this is the setting on my router.
Have tried 1500 too but no joy.

Can you pleas give me idea's on what else to try next , this is really frustrating.

I have a DG834GT and don't need to setup my PS3 for NAT1 and any port forwarding.
What NAT type are you on normally?
Do you have uPNP enabled on the DG834N?

Then why are you trying to get NAT1?? The guide is only for people with Eircom routers stuck on NAT3.
You are on NAT2 which is fine for any online PC, PS3 gaming as it opens the ports as needed behind the firewall.

I'm on NAT2 for my wireless connected PS3 and have no PSN or online gaming issues?
Are you having issues connecting to PSN or games?

    :rolleyes::rolleyes: What a load of bullsh1t.
Stop what you are doing and go and play a game on your PS3.

The people who have NAT1 are using that piece of crap Eircom wireless router.

So i gave Pes one more try online and if thats the best it's going to be even if i get nat 1 i don't think i'm bothered.
    Game jumps every so often.
    It's not enjoyable at all.

Would it not be better if i got nat 1?

That lag your talking about. Depends on your internet connection speed and the host and their connection speed and ping.
Its nothing at all to do with NAT1.

nat3 is behind a firewall but has restrictions with voice chat
nat2 is behind a firewall but ok for chat and if upnp is enabled shouldnt need any ports forwarded
nat1 is connected directly to the internet with no firewall and no need to forward ports
