early jan bike trip

...looks like my ski trip is being put on ice as dates dont suit people

Am thinking about a week somewhere warm with my bike jan 3 to 10.
Could bring touring bike and fly in to one place and out of another or bring the racer and rent an apartment somewhere.
South of Spain / Spanish Islands are obvious venues but I dont have an specific ideas?

Any suggestions from people here?

A lot of the pro teams train in Spain in January and especially in Majorca it seems. You might get lucky and get a tow off a few of them.

Open invitation it is.
I have three weeks off starting from yesterday, I would be reluctant to extend the three weeks further into jan bout would head earlier if that helps.
Ryanair to Malaga is cheap. No one seems to be flying to MAjorca, Lanzarotte is also a possibility.

I have one of these, which you are welcome to borrow.
I took my Cervelo abroad with it. I wrapped the entire frame in bubble wrap first.

Just bumping this post up to give www.vamoscycling.com a plug. I spent a week there at the start of the month very good value, very good quiet roads, very good climbs, very good hosts, very good food. The house is totally set up for bikers loads of bike magazines, dvds, wifi, a work stand, tools, great showers, good rooms.
