Warhammer Hobby Event Feb2009

    Wargamers Drogheda are having a hobby day in Febuary, in the boyne valley hotel
    tickets are 30euro
    lots of prizes like last event!
    not a tourney, its 3 fun games with like minded people (play for fun!)

    we have room for 40WHFB players and 40W40k players... thats 80 gamers!!!

    we have support from several groups already... Northern Wasters, UnderGround Gamers, OrkVilla Club ,Limerick Gathering... to name but a few and ofcourse our own large club the DroghedaGamers.

    I'm just getting back into the hobby and while I can't make this one I hope there will be others like it in the future that I can attend. Best of luck with it.

    It was good lads. :-)

    About 40 or 50 people, lots of scenery on the tables no cheese to speak and most people went home with prizes.

    A very enjoyable day overall. Preferable to the tournaments as of late as well. My WElfs had a good time!

    Well in fairness he was actually pointing to a table or something, but it was too good of a photo op to miss.

    It wasn't a tournament but I think Jay from limerick won best general and a Phil from Dublin with dwarves won best painted army. Malcom won most sporting (with dark elves so he deserved it!) This is fantasy though. 40K I dont know. I'm sure it will be on the website soon.

    And in fairness to dec the day went well and didn't start too late =p (why is it that GW things always start late?) It was a lot of fun 2/3 games were the best I've had in a LONG time.

    Also Ronan from GW was plugging the new LOTR thing and explaining how all the GT tickets will be gone in 3 days. oh noes :pac:
