Hopes for 09

Yep, its another one of 'those' threads..

I've been so swamped with work recently I was only saying it feels like months and months and months since I've been able to take (or more precisely, process) shots for myself. I'm determined come the new year to set aside some time to photography that's all about ME. No bands, no people, just shots I want to do. I have a list as long as my arm of stuff I want to try. I'm heading back to film. I want to use the DCC facilities to develop and print stuff myself for the first time. IR film I'm thinking mostly, but I'll start off with some lovely rich 50iso B&W I think. I'm getting a holga for christmas so some medium format stuff too. I've been eyeing up the gorgeous-looking large format boxes on the lomo site, and I also intend to source a rangefinder on ebay if I can..

I really really really want to develop my studio skills, and I intend to try my hand at Noir lighting this year. Anyone offering themselves as models for this will be given pints

And (fingers crossed!) I'll be starting the degree in September...

Anyone? What are your hopes/plans for the new year?

Hmmm,
Well i'd like to get a 70-200..Possibly get pitch side for some Munster games..
Pass my leaving cert,go to College,and in college get into something photographical there like a club or what not
Hopefully work another year with the racing club
And thats it

There was different thread. This one is about Hopes.

I hope to learn how to capture good pictures, to develop my processing routine, learn processing, gear up a little, get familiar in a studio and to bring to the successful end few projects that are in my drawer.

Disclaimer for thinkers: Those are not all my (not only photography) hopes for 09. :pac:

i haven't taken a photo from outside my hometown in 3 months .

final year of college has killed my oppurtunities to get out there.

but after college i'm going travelling to the states (chicago mainly) and my camera and 4 lenses will be with me all the way.

I hope to improve more than I have this year. I hope for my workload to triple;) Well it will be my second year so maybe double.

I hope to have some lovely new lens, I bought a new 50mm today and have my eye on a few more things. I hope for my website to be finished.

I hope for my 2 yr old to finish her terrible 2s so that I can finally relax. I hope to win the euromillions as in the other thread and buy you all lovely new d3x's....

I hope for so much more but most of all I hope for at least one day of complete relaxation..... although I fear I may be waiting another 16 years.

In the last year, the only time I've really taken the camera out is to take boring people photos for the local paper, I'd like to take some me pictures. I'm hoping that the arrival of my new little model might give me the kick I need to get back into taking shots I actually have an interest in! Come on, model, hurry up!!

I hope to get some good portrait/model shooting experience, college mashing studio lighting into us in the new year so that should help. Also a proper stab at IR photography, my ilford IR filters and film should be here soon...goodie :-)

Perfect fit

Well to start hope fully have a good photo session at the UFC in jan:)

Then working on an album cover for a well known band (cant say who yet) but hopefully that opens a few doors in the music industry. Id like to leave the full time job get going properly. Have more stuff published, more than likely in fighters only mag & fight sport usa and be successful. .
