Can you get money transferred into your online poker/sportsbook account in betting shops? In particular Paddy Power. I.e. I go into the shop with cash and they deposit it in. I have money but not in my bank account and missed the banks today so no poker this weekend unless I get it in somehow!

    Thanks

yeah go into the shop and to deposit the money. when they put it in, it will be in your sportsbook account, so when you get home just transfer it across to poker

Yeah. Just get a slip. Write down your account name and the amount you want to deposit.

    So let's just say.

    €100.

At the desk tell em you wanna stick money in your dial-a-bet account.

    Go online, and it's there!

you can deposit cash and withdraw winnings in cash including poker winnings but the bigger amounts and the first time you do it are liable to very strigent checks.

you can lodge ur money in any of the paddy power shop. it might take a little while to got in to ur actual pp acount then just ring either the dial a bet or gaming section and they will tranfer the money to ur poker account then. the winning cannot be taken out in shops anymore. they have to be sent by cheque or back to your card

Are the checks just for withdrawals or deposits also? What sort of ID should I bring, don't worry if its not applicable for deposits.

    Thanks

I'd bring your passport or driving license and the credit card that's tied to your account. Should be fine for a deposit.

Its only for withdrawals there is no need for ID when depositing.

A passport or drivers licence normally does the job.

There is no max but if you are withdrawing a large amount it is worthwhile to ring ahead to ensure the funds are availible

You can also withdraw from any brucebetting shop, just a phone call required first to poker support .

The only one I know where you can deposit and not withdraw over the counter is Paddy Power.

Don't know why that is but its great to be able to do both in the shops and not have to bother with online banking.
