Working Hours Query

    Hypothetically, if I was working in a shop at weekends (part-time) and on Saturday I worked a 6pm-11pm shift (closing time) and then on Sunday I worked a 7am-2pm shift (opening time), would it breach the Working Time Act or anything like that?

    yes you have to have 11 hours off untill you are due back in work

    The exact rule is :

    "An employee shall be entitled to a rest period of not less than 11 consecutive hours in each period of 24 hours during which he or she works for his or her employer."


    I could read that either way.
