    The determination on their faces in the first shot is pricless.

    Good clear pictures, very nice Leo.

    good stuff Leo and well done for posting!

    There are a good many sports heads about the place so you should get plenty of critique.

    I'm not one of those but i'd offer the following;

    A little crop in the first one. It seems to be with sports action shots that really tight crops work best (again others may elaborate more). That green space to the right of the subjects is a bit too vacant and ripe for a crop. Not much you could do but its a pity that the young fella behind the two is there as his position is very distracting to the main image. There is potential to clone him away maybe.

    I like the second best. Same thing with the third player but i think you get away with it more in this one as you can see more of the individual which gives more context to the shoot.

    Again, all IMHO. The sports heads may tell you different!

    Good luck and don't be a stranger to these parts.

    Thanks for C & C. Heard a man saying many years ago before I had a camera "a face can make a photo" and I think some of the best sports photos have priceless expressions on players faces. Yeah the crop could be better. Have picked up so much from the experts on here, their shots are super. Wish I had more time to go to matchs without being involved. I go planning to take as many as possible but usually watch the game and put the camera down. But with your encouraging words a better effort is called for. I will try!! As for cloning out player in background! Will have to get to grips with posting them on boards first. Thanks again and have a good Christmas and good health in 2009:) Happy shooting:)

    First one could do with a tight crop and a rotation left to straighten it up a bit. Not a bad effort tbh.
