hi. am cooking a casserole a nite in advance and wondering if any advantage to lessening the cooking time e.g. by 10mins or so, to cook the remaining time on the day, hence heating it up in oven.

Mmmmm - love chicken casserole. Nothing to lose by cooking in advance - loads to gain in flavour. Casseroles actually taste better reheated as the meat has time to soak in all the lovely flavours. And if the oven is not TOO hot it will not suffer by being left in too long either.
