Well, Biffo has finally shared this plan that has been in his head to save the economy, with the rest of us today. It looks big on sexy keywords and soundbytes like "innovation" and "sustainability" and "enhanced opportunities", but looks decisively low on detail and how he is going to achieve the lofty aspirations that are set out in his blueprint...

Looks like something he did when he was sitting on the jacks yesterday morning instead of the Irish Times Crossword...

He probably didn't have a clue on the crossword either.

The Irish Times crossword is good in that it comes with the clues presupplied - it's the answers to those clues that he may have struggled with.

I wonder if any focus groups, or think tanks are strategically aligned to implement this framework in the short to medium term? Or will the plans for sustainable rejuvenation advocate the use of collective synergies in the short to medium term across all lateral business sectors?

    Short answer = No

Long answer = we're still fucked

Perhaps his copy had no clues so that he could make it up as he went along.

So the big plan is to spend E50m a year on investing in tech and attracting R&D. That's 5% of Fas's annual budget. Muppets.

Legalise cannabis and add 50% VAT.

Wow, another €500m out of nowhere, how do they keep managing to do that?

And excise duty, health levy, and some form of VRT!
    That'll do it
