    so my nephew asks me to free up some space cause he doesnt know whats taking up his 2TB on his XPS. I look in his C drive and theres several folders called 'Windows.old' because he re installed vista six times. And holy ****

    That only leaves you to try figure out where the other 1.9tb has gone too.

    Norton Security :eek: Hope you didn't pay for the subscription...

    Get tree size. It'll tell you where any hidden crap is. Just cleaned a friend's computer and took 35GB's of crap off a 120GB hard drive that he didn't even know he had. :confused:

    the windirstat i linked to is a lot like treesize.

    As for the norton comment, take it here. Some of us took the time to set the record a bit straighter

    By the way, what the hell is a nephew who apparently knows ****all about computers doing with a rig that sits 2 Terabytes?

    He's a movie and TV show Junkie... lol
    He's getting really into scripts now too, bought about 60+ books from amazon of scripts from just about every show I can think of! Lunatic

    Agree with the 2tb comment but the matter of Norton being pretty much the most hated piece of software by IT pros is not in dispute.
