was talking to a work mate today, hates chirstmas apparently, all the giving and money and pressure to be happy gets to him a bit...i can kinda see where he is coming from but he was seriously worked up about the whole thing.

its a bit sad i thought.

Nope. Nobody else. Just your friend. Does he have green hair and long skinny fingers and a weird face?

Your friend sounds like he doesn't know he's born. Tell him to be thankful that he's not a Turkey.

Not overly fond of it meself. Too many people who are miserable c u next Tuesdays every other month of the year trying to force a bit of cheer on themselves and everyone else. Its all a bit false.

Then the people who still think that people like the Religious aspect of Christmas. Take away ther booze and presents and its easy enough to see how many are really bothered about it.

    Bah!

    Its a love hate thing.

I hate it because I miss people who are no longer with us, people who used to get you the same pair of socks every year from Dunnes.

I love it because its a great time for the kids.

Not a big fan, usually a time when tension and pressure to be happy spirals into an argument. Having a break can be fun, but I find Christmas is generally a stressful time

Is that a new magical type of animal?

I don't particularly care for Christmas either. Nowt good on TV, everywhere is closed, none of your friends want to/are able to do anything, family everywhere, rowing, buying presents, receiving junk and pretending it makes you happy.

    Foods alreet though.

Yeah xmas is s**te!! Pretending to be happy with your wife's family. Praying your father in law chokes on something so you can punch him full tilt in the gut to "Dislodge" said item!!

Yep, not my time of year. Its good for the happy people and happy families but I much prefer the social side and the build up. The atmostphere and buzz is good.... every other part of it pretty much sucks the life out of you! Happy days! :P

not the biggest fan myself mainly due to missing others and i think its a big fuss for one day but i like it better now since i have nieces and nephews. If you can't make the effort for the kiddies you have serious issues with xmas. It is just another day though and its a great excuse to eat, drink and flake out in front of telly!
