Well firstly, do you have a tenor banjo or five string banjo?
    Tenor:

    5-String:

Also, what is it you want to play, songs or tunes?
Give us a bit more info so you can get better advice!:)

    Yes its a tenor,

I want to play anything. Mainly good irish jigs. I kinda learned part of the king of the fairies.

Cool, well session tunes are what i play mostly. Have a look at this link:
    http://www.thesession.org/members/

Click on tune book and you'll see a list of some of the most common session tunes, keep in mind this is very variable though so the best thing to do would be to actually go to sessions, listen and ask questions, maybe record some of the easier tunes they play(ask if you can first) and learn them in your own time. Most sessions are welcoming to beginners and will encourage you to try play a tune, but be careful not to intrude too much at the start.

Also i'd really encourage you to listen to as much trad as you can, listen to different banjo players and try to find a style you want to emulate. Some well known players would be

    Eamonn Coyne:

    Gerry O'Connor:

    Darren Maloney:

Also keep an eye out for the likes of John Carty, Mick O'Connor and Cathal Hayden. Good luck with it, the bit of work is worth it in the end!:D
