HDD Records to record TV

Hello I was looking at getting a Sky+ box only so I can record but as I am an existing customers its going to cost like €150 so I was looking at a HDD recorder maybe something like http://www.sony.ie/product/dvd-recorder/rdr-hxd870 But can I record programs off Sky onto this. I have HD TV but only regular sky box. Thanks
