Browser woes

I'm having lots of problems with browsers on my work laptop.
I need to have IE6 on it for work sites/ intranet, and another browser for my personal browsing.
I used to have FF2 on it, and that worked fine.
Did the update to FF3 then, and liked it a lot. However, it would crash so often I couldn't use it anymore.
I tried out Chrome, but couldn't even get it to install. Turns out it could be something to do with the antivirus I use in work.
Tried Opera next, which was grand. However, some pages I use often, for example permanent TSB internet banking wouldn't diplay properly. So I had to dump that.

I'd really like to use FF3, but have no idea how to even start troubleshooting the constant crashes. Anyone know how I can do this?

Or any other options I have?

did you not just try to uninstall & reinstall FF?

Yes, installed it again a few times. This is also a newly imaged laptop, I tried it before it was reimaged and it was the same.

hmmm can you post an error message when FF crashes and your OS?

You could try Firefox 3.1b.

It's still in Beta but I've found very stable and much faster (at least the Linux version is anyway). The only drawback is that some add-ons are not yet available for it.

There's a list of browsers on Wikipedia, you could have fun trying them out.:)
