Wanted: Restore Disk for EEEPC laptop

    Hi- need to restore the XP image on an EEEPC- but the restore DVD I have is damaged (it was left in a window and the dye reacted to sunlight- not by me I hasten to add......)
    Its a 10.2" 1.6Ghz Atom processor EEEPC.

    I do not need a licence etc (the licence key is on the laptop itself and can simply be reloaded).

    Does anyone have a CD/DVD restore disk they are willing to lend me please?

    Try ASUS support?they should be able to ship a replacement

    Laptop was bought on ebay- they are demanding to see a copy of the invoice from the original retailer. I've gone in circles with them.......

    Its fully licensed- so I don't see what the issue is- but they don't see it quite that way. I've sent them photos of the machine- the serial no., the Windows licence, etc- to no avail...... :(

    If the appropriate Mods are OK with this, then I have what I think is a restore DVD/CD for the Asus EeePC 1000H which I could meet you in town with. I work in one of the venues, so if you wanted to bring your Asus in and restore it there then that would be cool with me.

    I really don't think we're breaking any rules- I can e-mail any Mods who might be interested a pic of the base with the serial tag, along with the Windows licence on it (obviously I won't post the same here on this thread). Its not a licensing issue at all- just defective media.
