Not being a smart ass but you are talking about at least 3 divisions...

Mayweather V Hatton holds no interest for me, none what so ever. If it did happen I would prefer to see it at 140.

Mayweather V PAC is the fight everyone wants to see again I would love to see it take place at 140. If that does happen who would Hatton fight next year ?? I doubt it would be dela, he will have nightmares about fighting at anything under 150.

There hasn't been a single quote from Mayweather Jr on this. I think that's interesting. Either he's just basking in the attention behind the scenes and weighing up his options, or else he doesn't give a fiddlers.

I think he'll find it very hard to stay retired though with all the current praise being lavished on the Pac-Man as the current P4P champion. His ego will probably get the better of him.

Floyds advisor and close friend leonarde ellerbe released a statement yesterday that floyd has no interest in a fight with manny and is enjoying retirement.
Seemingly floyd has even thought about it and doesnt need too,
hes retired and that its it.
People need to move on with it, know we all know that floyd is money hungry and whats his saying "if it makes money" it makes sense??
I think if floyd was offered a huge sum he would take it and i would be so excited to see this fight.

Ellerbe also said that he reckons its just a ploy by goldenboy promotions and top rank to hype this fight up,
which i think it is also.
    But i hope it isnt.

Floyd vs Manny would be a great fight

hmm yes it could be a ploy by Mayweather to attract attention and up the price for his comeback by denouncing it as rumours or it could be the work of people from the Pacquiao or hatton camp to build up their proposed fight by suggesting it might be in jeopardy. i'd say it's the latter. I think Floyd Mayweather will announce his comback after the outcome of the hatton v pacquaio fight.

To be honest, I couldn't give a toss what it is; the fact is, the whole circus stinks!

well, i agree it is a circus but i am looking forward to seeing Mayweather taking on thw winner of Pacqiauo v Hatton. I would prefer if his comeback is against Pacquiao, at 140, as it would be a much more competitive fight than a rematch with Hatton would be.

Presuming Mayweather is coming back, will be Hatton v Mayweather II @ 147 (maybe even III if Hatton wins), then Mayweather v Pacquiao (presuming he's not afraid of Manny), then Hatton v Pacquiao. Because of the money in England for him Hatton is in a strong position.

Personally I'd like to see any of the three fights, Manny-Hatton, Hatton-Mayweather 2 or Manny-Floyd. I think any of the three would be competitive fights. Sure Mayweather took Ricky apart in the first fight but I still maintain that if the ref hadn't have jumped to Floyds defence any time Hatton got near him it would have been a far closer fight (although I still think floyd would have took it on points). I was on the "this fight should never happen" camp when the last fight was announced but I wouldn't hold to that for PAC taking on Mayweather. Manny has proved he can carry his speed and power to 147 (I'd prefer the fight at 140) so whats the problem? Time to get over it. If he wants to take fights at that weight no-one can say he shouldn't. I've given my thoughts on Pac-Ricky before, think it would be a great fight but Manny would stop him.

According to some accounts I've read, Mayweather never had any intention of coming back. This was only used by both Manny's and Hatton's people for publicity/negotiating.

    Despite stories like this http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/boxing/7788103.stm

Now 2 days later we hear negotiations have been ongoing for a fight in May. According to Hatton Snr some people are digging in and insisting on Vegas for the location. I would have thought there'd be more money to be made in England, $60 PPV fees in America notwithstanding.

    Ah boxing..

I can understand to some degree looking forward to PBF-PAC; but he has already beaten Hatton, and at 147. Hatton is simply not up to it and can't beat PBF.

Well, Hatton might have a better chance At 140. His father was saying a rematch with Mayweather would be at 140. However, i agree with you whatever weight it's fought at is irrevelent, Mayweather is simply too good for Hatton. That's why i was saying i'd prefer to see Pacquiao v Mayweather. It would be a closer contest but i'd favour Mayweather to take it on points.

Hatton-Pacquaio is one of the best if not the best fight that can be made in boxing at the moment.

If Mayweather wants to come back so be it, who wouldnt want to see him in action, but let Hatton-Pacquaio happen first.
