Play.com Christmas delivery time?

I have ordered 3 games on Monday 8th of this month and still havent got them how long does it normally take during Christmas?

They might be held up if they are above the allowed limit.
Think it's 22euro on stuff.

Have u seen the warnings on news past 2/3 days regarding that hackers can now hack into secure websites and even hack into your personal computer while u are using Internet Explorer... my fear is that my PayPal acc could b hacked while paying for cheap xmas pressies on Ebay.

Since u ordered on the 8th from play.com they are only in england so u should receive them no later than tomorrow however there was talks about possible strikes with Royal Mail staff before xmas...dnt kno if this has occurred or been resolved?

My sis ordered stuff from a site similar to play.com and after she placed order and paid for items she recieved email 12 hrs later askin her to send copy of payment method along with personal details and proof of address in order to complete her order..... (these details have never been requested from this company nor any other i have dealt with) so my worry is that it could have been 1 of these hackers the news is talkin about. She has since cancelled her order and acc on this site since her payment details were on her acc.

I would email play.com and advise u have not recieved the items. They have good customer service. Dealt with them couple of times.... hope this helps

Exactly. I order tons of stuff off Play.com and in the last couple of weeks they seem to be slower with actually getting things out the door. In most other cases, if something was in stock and I order it in the morning, it gets posted the same day. However, in the last few weeks, anything I've ordered gets stuck in the "packing" stage for 2-3 days...

The last couple of games I ordered were shipped on the 4th and didn't reach me until the 15th... I also ordered Tomb Raider: Underworld as part of this Monday's special (the 15th) and again, it didn't actually ship until today...

Im in the same boat here.Ordered games on the 8th,supposedly shipped on the 11th and still no sign of them yet.

Hopefully Ill see them before Christmas since theyre from

for one of the kids.

I've ordered thousands of euro worth of DVDs, Blu Rays and games from Play over the years and they mostly deliver within 7 days of ordering. However, this time of year, things are going to take longer. However, I ordered 3 blu rays on the 8th and they were delivered on the 13th.

There may also be problems with stock as woolworths, who are a supplier of games and dvds to most other companies, have gone bust and so Play might be low on stock. Just a thought.

Hopefully your stuff will turn up soon.

Anyone have a clue about cdwow.ie delivery? I ordered warhawk on Sunday the 7th and I'm still waiting for it.

Have you checked the order status? A dvd I ordered never left, 12 days after I ordered it so I had to cancel the order.

most of the time i get my play.com orders within about 7 - 10 days, although there was a case with the fast show boxset a couple of months ago where i was waiting 3 weeks

Seems to be a bit of a mixed bag TBH. Got three games delivered the last few days, one came from Jersey and the other two from Sweden. Some people here have mentioned they got packages from Hungary too but I haven't gotten any of those yet...

I find CD Wow to be quite slow to dispatch stuff - Take That CD took almost 2 weeks to be sent out!! And then another week to arrive. Play.com are much quicker to post.

Same here, 2 weeks for sweden\hungary, 3-4 days jersey. Books seem to come from hungary, games sweden. Last few games i got were from sweden altho the last game bioshock was from jersey and only took a few days.

Yeah my last two games came from sweeden took at least two weeks if not longer. Ordered far cry last wed nite got delivered today from jersey. but anything ordered now dont expect to get by christmas if your outside the uk

If like someone posted above the shipped on the 11th then you defo won't have them yet, at least 5 working days with play.
