Their website says a couple of days. My hunch is they will sell as many as they can to people who wish to pay & download. Then sort out the people who have paid in advance for the upgrade - like me! Then finally the people who are due the free update because they bought a system recently.

The website's bandwidth can only deal with so many simultaneous 4 gig downloads. They will have to stagger it I reckon.

Will let you know when I get mine...

Would you guys mind writing a small review/report based on stability performance enhancements?

I am going to sit on the fence a little bit longer and wait until I hear from you guys, thanks, D.

Yeah, it's not so long ago they had that bug in 7.3 (?) that would wipe people's firewire drives. *shudder*

Where's your pioneering spirit. I'm gonna install it as soon as possible & suffer the consequences.

Why bother when I knew you would.

Ole Rupert who was beta testing thinks that Digi had a much more intensive test on PT8 that Logic8.

He thinks they've made a lot of improvements ...

Well my Pro Tools 8 upgrade e-mail arrived & I'm downloading at the mo. It's taken all day & I'm still barely over 50% of the 4 gigs.

Mr. Brewer referred to us early adopters as "sheep" however I like to think of myself as more of a guinea pig or possibly a lemming, maybe even a cunning fox, one step ahead of the pack.... I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture.

Will post again when I have it up & crashed running. ;)

Actually guinea pig probably is better ....
