    does anybody know what ciaran power works as now that he is retired and if he intends to race as an amateur next season

    so what has he got, is it cycling or sport related?

    No it's not cycling related at the moment, he's taking a bit of time out and I don't blame him. I am sure he will be back in the sport at some point though in the not too distant future, perhaps coaching etc... Or at least I hope he will.

    He has been too good a pro with too much great experience to be lost to cycling in this country. He has much to offer still.

    Ciaran is a class act, was denied Sports council funding last year despite being the best (apart from Nicholas Roche and that arguably was simply because he had a poorer race program) road racer.
    He will be mikssed and I hope he will get involved again soon if only to make sure guys like him are not lost to the sport in future.
    BTW why he was not shortlisted at least for Bejing and selceted for the worlds is a mystery to almost every cyclist in Ireland.
    Best of luck to him in his future career , whoever has manged to get him working for them has done very well.
