Parents want to get a 42" HD TV so are thinking of shifting their current, an LG 42" Plasma (non HD).

    It's this model.

Any ideas of worth? I would have thought about 400 (seeing as it is 42", despite not being HD) but my father seemed to think that that was too much. thanks.

I would have to agree with your father. It's an old model, plasma and not HD ready. Hard if not impossible to replace or repair. Only a brave person would buy a second hand plasma because what is acceptable screen burn to you may be unacceptable to them. Non HD is probably not a huge issue in reality but doesn't help your case. I guess start at 350 but be prepared to go to 250.
