    ...you've not given us enough information at all there. What insurance do you have, on what class of vehicle, does it give any 'driving other vehicles' cover, etc?

    OP, ring your insurance company, no one here can give you an answer you can trust more than them.

    a friend of mine wants to use my jeep for the weekend.

    I have insurance for towing a trailer - my friend has the same on his car. does my friend need anything? will his licence cover him or does he need an EB licence?

    I pretty sure his insurance will only cover 3rd party on your vehicle.

    Car licence is fine up to a certain weight. I assume you are insured for pulling this trailer. So does your insurance cover other drivers or does his insurance cover other vehicles? Beware of third party cover only!
