Problem with LG DVD recorder

    Hello

    My LG DVD recorder (Home Cinema LH-RH761IA) bought in Nov 2006 does not play 9 out of 10 DVDs.
    the message is "no disk" or "unknown format".
    DVDs bought in the shop a few month ago so presumably quality is ok.

    Problem started about 2 month ago, before that played all DVDs.

    At the same time :

    a) DVD recorder can play all CDs.
    b) DVD recorder can record DVDs and sometimes play them (2 out of 10)

    LG Support was useless. Cleaning laser-lens by cleaning DVD disk did not help.
