A farce of a Christianity forum

This whole section is a farce.

It's more like the "Christianity justification forum" where atheists can prod and poke fun at Christians (who incidentally have got better things to be doing -- like visiting the sick, caring for the elderly, educating children or praying for the repose of souls).

There hasn't been one topical subject to do with Christianity for at least a month.

Yis are a pack of jokers and ye can fester away in your own misery for all I care (how "un-Christian of me" -- I'm actually doing you a favour though). There are far better and more authoritative sources of information for Christians and I just pray that people don't get led astray by the bolloxology that goes on in here.

This is the only off-topic thread I see.

Cue the atheists swarming around the Christians.

And what are you contributing to the forum? It's easy to criticise. Less easy to improve a thing you find lacking.

I'll stick to the Brandsma Review, thanks.

Run along now, the grown-up Christians are talking.

The grown-up Christians interact at Mass and within their communities/families.

No Christian in his right mind would "participate" in this forum -- most men would eventually be drowned by the mis-information, ridiculing and downright evil.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out. And mind you don't trip on the downright evil. :pac:

I'll pop back in in a couple of months to see how you're doing.

I do a lot of visiting. I never stay too long though -- you might catch something. I prefer cleaner environments.

Pity you don't ever stay long enough to contribute -- you have a long-standing habit of disappearing as soon as anybody asks you a question you can't answer.

Have a great solstice all the same!

And you'll be judging will you?

The only judge I need to impress is the man upstairs. Not some random punter on the internet who's his own god.

Uh huh? Yet here you are, judging. Man do you look silly.

The Christians here seem to have the game figured out a lot better than you. They're a lot more consistent, a lot less hypocritical.

    Are you gone yet?

Sorry CANTAB but you are a typical zealot, if some one does not agree with your version of things then they are evil.

And just because you are a Christian, it dosen't make you a good person.

Thank you for your well-wishes. What a care bear! I've a feeling though that you're more of a grizzly kind of bear...

Has anybody here actually read this thing? One of my extended family subscribes to it -- it's rather like "Alive", but with two-syllable words instead of one.

Looks like this thread is approaching more posts than views...

In many ways it's kind of appropriate -- this forum has more posts by atheists than views by Christians.

You're throwing quite a tantrum for someone who allegedly has better things to do.

So stick around. Add your voice to those of your fellow Christians. They're a good bunch. We like them. We don't like you much, but we don't know you very well.

You quite obviously don't have a clue what you're talking about.

I'm not into any religion but I have to agree with this guy.

There's plenty of bolloxology goes on in here.

A while ago I would have even participated but the amount of bolloxology was too much for me to handle. I'm blessed as my lack of a degree in bolloxology as this turned out to be a good thing in the end I feel.

Hes not one of ours is he?! :p

I think alot of the christians on here are ok,alot of them make good arguements, and are indeed consistent. Just because i don't agree with them on stuff doesn't mean i can't say that. The atheists are the same. Both sides get bad apples from time to time.I like the christianity forum, even though I've only been lurking on and off of late. Woops, this isn't a thread for serious discussion is it? My mistake. *hands soapbox back to op*

Would you not be better off sticking to giving people bad advice in the programming forums?

<sigh> ok. I admit it, I was rounding up. The average is closer to 1.5 syllables per word.

    'pologies.

Nah. Chances are I won't hear of your good deeds (assuming you reamain humble, a most christian of traits). Good luck with the charity though. :)

You won't impress him ranting at me on an online discussion forum. Now, if you went and did that charity work you mentioned in post #1 you might.

Might I just point out that he did contribute the word "bolloxology".

Cantab should set up a sidestepping forum. "Don't like a question your asked or dont have an answer"? "no problem, skip past the post and pretend it's not even there"

Cantab., if the forum annoys you that much don't look at it. As it stands, your words are only insulting Christians and non-Christians alike. Congratulations.

You're quite right. I cheerfully withdraw my criticism of the criticism.

A textbook example of how not to air your grievances.

    Take a week off, cantab.
