Ive had this really irritating problem on my mac for the last 6 months or so.

At completely random times, bird tweeting/chirping noises just seem to come from nowhere and stay until you reboot the computer (or turn the sound off ;-))

Its really starting to piss me off, especially when your in the middle of watching something or listening to music and it strikes again.

Has anybody had this problem and know how to resolve it?

    Thanks
    Simon

    Hi Simon,

Are you using an Alu iMac?
If so,I had the same problem the other day.
Done some research and came up with this.

I am a novice Mac user - never even heard of twitterific let alone have I installed it. (Nor has anybody else who uses the computer). The only things i have installed are MS Word for mac and MSN messenger also and theres the odd game on it as well.

I am bamboozled by the whole thing.

If it goes away when you turn the sound off then it's definitely something you installed. Have a look in System Preferences > Accounts > Login Items, and see if there's anything that might be running hidden in the background.
