    I have been trying in vain to make an online appointment for my car. It seems to be booked solid for the whole 5 week period ahead. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

    Try booking at 7.55am, that's when the cancellations are released.

    Yep, quite common with that lot. Try alternative centres if there are any close by.

    FYI, if you move to a 'smart' meter electricity plan, you CAN'T move back to a non-smart plan.
