(please move if posted in wrong area)

Thinking of setting up a Windows Home Server for storing all my movies + music + Pics ... (want to connect my NTL to this if possible but think it might be a little hard if even possible http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055019044)

Then using my Xbox streaming the content using Windows media center extender connected to my tv (going to buy flat screen for this but keeping an eye on the bargain thread for this :D)

Also have a laptop in the bedroom i would like to stream some tv shows to now and again on Sundays from the server :)

I just got smart bb 4MB and their default wireless modem (THOMSON TG585)

Just checking before i set this up is it a good idea or is there a better option out there that people know of ? reading the previous thread see linux is a popular option but this would not work with WMC would it ?

Also Xbox is telling me to upgrade my wireless router to a duel band one but have not seen may people talk about these on the boards. My xbox + TV line hence where i want to put the server is on one side of the room and phoneline + BB on the other so if needs be i will have to run two wires across the room or if people think upgrading the router would be a good idea let me know + suggestions :)

Thanks all ... know there is alot of questions here but
