£9.99 does not equal 13.99 , its more like €11.30 or something like that, i am refusing to purchase from play.com until they start reflecting the real currency conversion rates.

    boo to play.com !!!!

I agree with you, but if its still cheaper than other places its a bargain to me.

    Wall-E anygood?

Also your bank will not give you the current exchange rate so 13.99 is just about right

    wrong.

if you purchase an item online that is advertised in pounds sterling, your bank will convert it to euros with that days conversion rate.
thats why if you try to purchase from play.com in pounds sterling instead of euros , you cant actually do it, they force you to purchase the item at what they consider to be the euro price ,

i.e 10-15% more expensive than what you should be paying if you were to go by current currency conversion rates.

so that free shipping that they advertise is not actually free, you are paying for the shipping by them forcing you to pay in what they would consider to be the euro price.

Wrong, banks charge commission on currency conversions so you never get the true rate.

we all know it's cheaper than elsewhere
it's the on the principle of being ripped off on the exchange rate that some people wont shop with them

How can you claim that they rip us off in some way and yet they are cheaper than anyone else?

Who gives a damn what way they call it ,if it's cheaper ,it's cheaper Sterling or Euro.
