Knives as Baggage

    Hi there, obviously not allowed in cabin baggage but just wondering if anyone knows whether you can pack knives in checked bags on Ryanair? Was thinking of getting my brother a nice set of kitchen ones for Christmas but they won't be much good if I can't get them home.

    Should be fine in your checked in bag, once packed properly.

    I commonly have tools, including a stanley knife and Ive never had any problem once they are packed correctly as BuffyBot said.

    If I've flown intercontinental with a sword, I can't imagine an EU flight with a knife causing much difficulty.
