canon 400d - good bargain????

    Hi. we paid €400 as a present for our father for a Canon Digital SLR Camera Kit - EOS 400D with EF-S 18-55 f/3.5-5.6 II Lens.

    Was this a good deal? Im sorry i dont know too much about camera's or anything like that, but would they retail more or less in Irish shops?

    Well you weren't ripped off.

    but for what it's worth, you could probably have got the 450d with an Image Stabilised lens and live view for not a whole lot more. the 400d is last year's model.

    Still a very good camera, hope he enjoys it !

    That was a good price.

    I have a Digital Rebel for the past year and have come to
    really enjoy using it.

    There is quite a steep learning curve at first, but plenty of help available online.

    Seems like an alright price. It's a decent enough camera. Great for learning.
