Ok i expect Olympiacos to win and confirm they are through, they need a draw to go in the next round,i supose that wont be a problem to get,Hamburg-Villa will be very interesting,i am giving a small advantage to Hamburg, this is their last game this year and they will play to win while on the other hand i supose Villa wont play it with full power coz theres tough fixture in front of them

ajax are trying to sabotage our bid to finish 3rd, theyve just gone 2-1 behind to slavia after being a goal up

3-5-2 now with the Fonz up front and Gardner and Shorey at WB.

8 changes from the weekend in total. 0-2 HT vs Hamburg

fonz on the left was the most pointless thing ive ever seen i have to say

yup could be more too they hit the bar just on HT, reckon hamburglars will kill off the game 2nd half. Surprised villa stuck out the kids tbh.

why? we're already qualified. no point unnecessarily wearing out first teamers before an important chrimbo period

Ensuring the best possible draw for next round ? A full villa team would get a result here.

the draw will be much of a muchness regardless imo

a full villa team would get a result in most places in february. only team id be wary of would be milan tbh

Not tryign to justify a defeat by mentioning the 2nd team in every post by any chance?:)

Do the finishing positions in the group matter to the draw for the next round at all? Apparently Villa are 3rd in the group as it stands.

EDIT really should have read all the posts before replying. :-)

Will there not be a few decent sides coming in from the CL? Does finishign 3rd put you in line to be drawn against Milan ?

Always use the reserve side thing whena thumping is a possibility :D

Whoever doesnt come 1st and isnt seeded plays the CL teams. Which in fairness arent great this year, usually one of them is the favourite to win it but think AC still are.

    3-0 what a great strike.

villa player down too ? EDIT whoever collided with keeper is down.

1st place in each group plays a 3rd place team from another group, second place plays a 3rd place champions league team

    theres no huge difference tbh

    3-0 btw

yep thats what im doing 3-0 now Ollic

1st gets 3rd and 2nd gets CL dropouts methinks

with a 2 month gap between games, it really doesnt matter what their form was like up to now

zenit, marseille and fiorentina would be no push overscant really say villa would be big favourites against any of them pus bremen beat inter last week

    lol i disagree :D

imo the teams top of their groups and playing well know full well this is their best shot at a trophy they may well be in the CL next season but still want to win something. Quick look at the group toppers shows teams that possibly wont be winning their leagues and dont have the luxury of 4 CL spots.

UEFA/CL form is rarely indictive of domestic form, not many teams win their league and a european trophy in the same season. quite odd actually, except last season of course :D

theyre all coming from the cl, that means if we finish 2nd we play a cl team. the fact that we're losing 3-0 means that we're playing a uefa cup team instead

The reasons for Hamburg winning the group were more complicated than that though, if Villa had something to play for today, it may well have been a different story.

I agree,a lot of teams in UEFA Cup calculating and not playing as good as they can, dont know why,i saw a lot of teams playing with 2nd squad, maybe they are not interested in this, but still who knows what would be if...Hamburg have won tonight and thats what counts, who knows what would be if Villa played with best 11,maybe they would loose again...maybe not...

Dude its obvious you are not up to some football clubs and their performance,i would kill my self if it was even a draw tonight and not Olympiacos victory:D

Maybe you should watch them once when they play at home to realise why

We are in brotherhood with them for 20 years already and have kinda same fanatic fans, its very hard to win games like these coz every guest team gets scared;)

I am glad they won it,first Benfica 5-1 now Hertha 4-0,great performance and i supose too loud atmosphere:D

I bet theres no team Olympiacos cant beat at home at the moment, fans making them to give 120% every time and results showing that,if they would only play 20% better on away games they would be ranked really good in european cups every season

Tip: never bet on away team playing in Pireus;)

Anyway all the results from tonight and final tables

Meh, i couldnt really guve a toss about them so no....im not up to scratch on how theyre doing.

Greek teams generally have a good record at home, but footballs a "funny old game" and sometimes teams get beaten.

Anyway, who said i was expecting Hertha to win?
I simply asked the score, now away you go and lie down...youll need a rest before one of your many teams around europe are playing again!:P
