Hi I have a 03 V70 and need a an urgent service. Does anyone know of an ex' volvo' mechanic that would not charge the high prices of a dealer service. To date its had a full volvo SH but now I am re thinking it. Any advice or help is appreciated ;)

i am in same situation. will be looking for volvo mechanic to do the service.
Have bought the parts including timing belt from UK. parts are a fraction of the prices here. PM me I will give you address for parts in UK

I'd say after five years of being serviced by a Volvo dealer you'd be better off taking it to an independent at this stage. If I knew where you were located I'd give you a recommendation.
