    Hello all,

Looking for a few recommendations for an air rifle for target shooting. Budget of about €300 - €400 (at a real push!). Only looking for one for targets. No hunting. Thanks.

    K.
P.S. For this sort of money should I be looking at a .22 rimfire such as a CZ instead?

It would seem to me you'd be pushed to put it mildly to get a target shooting air rifle for that money. You might pick up a CZ 452 for it, but there are additional costs such as scopes to consider then. What sort of target shooting do you intend to do?

You'd get a second-hand Feinwerkbau 600 series rifle or similar for that, they were going for around the £225-300 sterling mark (depending on model) a few months back, and the economy's collapsed since then, and the Pony Clubs are switching to air pistol so a market for their air rifles might be a buyers market. eGun.de have a few rifles that match what you're looking for, both the FWB600 series and an Anschutz 2001 for €350 (about equivalent to the FWB600 series).

I joined Harbour House Shooting club recently. I was told if I wanted to learn how to shoot then start with an air rifle. Just looking to start with paper targets and take it from there. Would like to try as many disciplines as I can.
