WIFI won't work on brothers laptop

    Hi I wonder can anyone help me - we recently got eircom broadband at home and it's on my computer but my brother has wifi on his laptop but it work for him - he cnt connect to the net - we dnt knw why it;s not picking up the signals. Can anyone shed any light on this?

    You sure you haven't turned WiFi on the laptop/ Its usually togged on/off with Fn key + one of the function keys on top of part of the leyboard.
    What model laptop is it?

    Yeah, I'd check that the Wifi is actually turned on. I've been caught out myself by that one. :D

    Hi thanks for replying no that's not the prob it's definitely turned on - the laptop is a dell inspiron (or something like that!)

    Can you connect to the net by using a network cable in the back of the router?

    Can you see your wireless network from the laptop?
