Getting back on the bike in the morning for commute to work after 2 weeks off with Flu, missed 2 weekend spins and my commute for last 2 weeks.
Put on a bit of weight too, damn flu makes you very hungry and eat just for the sake of it.

Suffering a bit myself with an injury here since mid-November although it hasn't kept me off the bike entirely. Have to keep an eye on the waistline all right, if the exercise cuts back and you don't adjust your food intake it can have disastrous consequences.

    Put down those pies!

    i'm trying! trying and failing.

i've been off the bike for a little over 2 weeks now (and it's fucking KILLING ME) and i estimate that my waist is growing at about 1 inch per week. the weight will come off just as quickly and easily though, right? right? that is how it works, yes? yes, i'm sure it is. must be. deffo. no doubt at all. grand so. no problem. no problem at all. yes. mmm hmm.

    ... well, try 2 months ... @ 1 inch per week :)

So far I have been trying to replace all my cycling snaks by fruit and green tea ... I sure hope it will come off when I am back Mid January.

What I am doing at the moment, is calorie counting ... I am not doing too bad, but I still keep in mind the Irish economy and the fact that I have to support local businesses, hence I MUST eat minces pies and Chocolates too.

I am finding it extremely difficult to get back to where I was before my holidays ... 4 weeks off with no cycling ... no running ... only eating & drinking ... only put on 4lbs .. but I think thats just numbers .. with the muscle loss etc .. I think it might be closer to 6/7lbs .. back on the bike for 4 weeks now .. just the commute though .. and still at the same weight .. don't think walking back from the holidays and straight into the pies is helping ... :o ...

Must resist pies ... must resist pi ... mush res... mus ... hmmmmmm ... pies ..

Between ice and illness I've had a very quiet month and I can actually feel my waistline expand. The rollers are arriving today. Going to Spain on Saturday for two weeks. Hopefully that'll stop the rot.

Felt lousy, halfway to work this morning, got a huge phlegm build up, which was not a pleasnt sight when I coughed it up.On the way home, felt great, even the rain didn,'t dampen my spirits, it just felt good to be pedalling again, now to tackle the excess I put on.................where did I put those Pork pies.
