TOTAL NONSTOP ACTION WRESTLING ANNOUNCES NEW ONE-HOUR “TNA EPIX” PROGRAM TO BEGIN BROADCASTING IN 2009
Ongoing series to join “iMPACT!” and “Xplosion” as TNA’s leading broadcasts

TNA Wrestling is announcing the creation of a new one-hour television series, set to debut in early 2009.

“TNA Epix” will feature the most awe-inspiring and monumental moments, matches and superstars that shaped the face of TNA from its 2002 inception until today!

From the first TNA event in 2002 and the early Wednesday night Pay-Per-Views, to the Fox Sports Net era and the evolution of TNA on SpikeTV as well as the most recent wars inside the six-sided ring, the new program will include rare matches, archived footage, fresh historical commentary from the TNA superstars and so much more

“We are extremely excited about ‘Epix’ joining the TNA broadcasting universe,” said Kevin Sullivan, Director of TNA Television. “While ‘iMPACT!’ is undoubtedly the crown-jewel of our worldwide presence, ‘Epix’ will chronicle the amazing history of TNA and allow our fans to re-live some of their favorite moments.”
    .
“Epix” will be produced by Bill Banks at TNA’s new state-of-the-art television headquarters in Nashville.

Check back to TNAwrestling.com in the coming weeks for more exclusive news on “TNA Epix”.

TNA Television currently produces over 350 hours of programming annually, including “iMPACT!”, Xplosion, International broadcasts, DVDs, SpikeTV specials, online videos and much more. In addition to “Epix”, TNA is already exploring additional broadcasting opportunities in 2009.

Could be very good if they show some of the old X-Division stuff.

If this is shown on Bravo I'm interested as there's loads I wouldn't have seen

It could be good, but I think the matches they show will be clipped to fit the 1 hour time.

Still it would be great for fans to see how far the company has come.

If you have Bravo 1 (Sky channel 123) it's on every Saturday at 9pm with PPVs on Bravo 2 (Sky channel 153) the Wednesday after they are shown in the US.

Iv caught it a couple of times and i must say, Iv been impressed.
watching some stuff online now, haha that suicide gimmick gets a big ol thimbs up from me!

...im a sucker for a bit of theater..:o:rolleyes:

Oh yeah I'm in poor man's land and only have NTL Bravo 1.

    Urrrgh this so annoys me.
For the guts of this year, Bravo 1 also show PPVs, they're six days behind though. Bravo 2 show them first, and then Bravo show them at 9am the following Saturday, with +1 showing them on a one hour delay afterwards.

So NTL folk CAN view TNA AND impact!
However it should be noted that Bravo's ones are cut down for childrens viewing so heavy weapons shots and the showing of blood are edited out, i don't know if Bravo 2 do it or not, they used not to.

And that's it folks, the ultimate answer to TNA programming on Irish Television.

Actually for the mods, reckon it's a good idea to have a sticky on what gets shown and where? Just an FYI for existing and new posters?

On the subject at hand, I can't see Bravo getting this immediately, although Bravo 2 might be the first ones to get it, and then eventually Bravo might get it down the line. By the sounds of things, it's gonna be TNA's version of Vintage Collection, only with less of a back catalogue to use.

Sounds interesting.A 1 hour show = 3 average lenght matches or 2 long matches when you take into account add breaks etc so hopefully they wont start clipping matches. Will keep my eyes peeled for this.I started watching TNA when TWC started up so would like see some of the early stuff again.

would love to see the firast x division match agen it was on the 2nd show and aj and jerry linn go all out and ultimet x 2 was fantastic (hide ultimet x 1 its shamefull)

I'd be a little worried what this means for Impact tbh. If they're devoting a new show to just wrestling for an hour while the current show only has 17-27 minutes of wrestling per 2 hour show, I'd be worried that TNA are using this show to show off their wrestling and are going to limit the in ring action on Impact again

Ultimate X 1, wasn't that where the X fell from the wires three times, they had to restart it for the first two and then the third one, it fell right in the hands of Sabin? That was priceless. Everything that could have gone wrong that night did go wrong.

What PPV was that from again anyway?

I think it was at Bound For Glory 05, and it fell into Petey Williams arms.

    Here it is...

Yeah , good idea. I think there's only the 1 hours of wrestling on Sky 1 now is there ? And do Sports replay the unedited RAWs and Smackdowns with chair shots et al ? Someone the other was complaining that there's too much on telly , there's more or less the same amount there's always been I'd say

Bravo 2 don't edit the first showing but their replays of shows are cut down as most are early in the day.

Matt Morgan defeated Robert Roode due to the referee stopping the match doe to a knee "injury" to Roode. Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed came on the ramp with their briefcase and demanded ntheir tag titletheir title shot now.

Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed defeated Beer Money to win the TNA Tag Team Titles. Lethal hit Storm with the briefcase. Abyss and Morgan watched the match from the ramp.

Context is now the Frontline have something of value to fued with MEM over, As the MEM hold the World Title

    So...
the faces waited until the heels were injured before they challenged them? The faces in TNA come across so bad so often

The difference is that CM Punk was not part of a faction that outnumbered the heel faction 3-1 and constantly outnumbered the heels in the ring also, Edge deserved what he got because he had done it twice before
whereas Beer Money got completely shanghai-ed

And Beer Money didn't get what they deserved after constantly screwing LAX and Morgan and Abyss out of the Tag Team titles, they even screwed Team 3D out of title shots when they were heels and they won most matches with a variety of low blows, beer spiting, bottle smashing and knuckle dustering until they themselves were eventually outsmarted and beaten.

Commercial advertisements list the show as airing on Bravo in the UK at 10PM on Friday night. The show will air clips from TNA events, including a lot of earlier stuff from Nashville.
In the UK on Bravo, the "TNA Epics" show will be going head-to-head with SmackDown every week.

Total Nonstop Action's new weekly one-hour "TNA Epics" series returns to Bravo in the United Kingdom on Friday night at 10pm

On the broadcast (Best Of The X Championship Matches, Part 1), host Mick Foley will take fans back to relive some of the greatest X Division title bouts in TNA history!

"TNA Epics" will feature the acclaimed Four-Way Double Elimination match from June 26, 2002, to crown the first-ever X Division Champion! Also on Friday's "TNA Epics" is the historic bout many fans consider the greatest match in TNA history from the Unbreakable 2005 Pay-Per-View, as it was AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels in the amazing three-way battle for the X Championship!

All this and more on Friday's "TNA Epics" on Bravo in the United Kingdom!

Not a bad first episode at all. I've seen the AMW vs Triple X match a dozen times now and it never gets old. Never seen Rhino vs Christian or Daniels/AJ vs LAX before, good matches.

I'm not so sure they can. A lot of their footage from then has the nwatna.com in large letters in the bottom right hand corner. Unless they settle for a massive blur, which probably looks unpresentable.
