christmass double payment and new years payment?

    hi i've been told that there is to be a double weeks payment this wednesday as the post office is only open a half day on the 24th but does anyone know whats happening with the 31st december are the post offices open that day or would it be another day?? thanks

    The post office should have a sign up, if not put your query to them

    Really sorry to jump on in on this post but I am new and I can't for the life of me find where I start a thread! lol :):rolleyes:

    Anyway.....I am on jobseekers allowance and was sick last week and they would not let my mum collect it for me so I went in today (tuesday) and picked it up .. I am paid every tuesday..I recieved my two payments one for last week one for this (period 10-23rd Dec) I also recieved an extra payment??? of €204 ..is this a bonus??

    How long are you on job seekers allowance?
    If it's for 390 days (excluding Sundays) it may well be.

    Hi Mike,
    Well I was on sickness benefit for 8 months, then I studied through FAS and got allowance, (same amount as dole) and now I am on jobseekers a total of about 20 months probably..sounds confusing lol..

    I was just wondering if it was an extra payment because maybe they don't pay on the 31st or something?

    You qualify for the bonus alright so it's yours. Just an extra weeks payment.

    You'll get your allowance next week as normal
