    Hi,

I've currently got a Sony 40 w 2000 , I've had it about a year. I normally upgrade within a year and with this T.V. it's been harder as there don't seem to be alot of improvements in the year I've had this T.V within my price range €1,000-€1,500 . The ones I have been looking at are the 40 w 4000 and the Panasonic PZ 80. Would anybody have these T.V's that they could comment on picture quality etc. I have a ps3 , NTL digital and upscale DVD player hooked up or any other alternatives ?

I have the 32W4000 and find the picture quality excellent. I have my HD-DVD player, Xbox 360, Wii, PC and Sky Digibox all connected.

I noticed that your choices are between an LCD and a plasma TV. In this regard, you should look into the difference in the display technologies and the pros and cons of each e.g. LCDs are not the best for motion, whereas Plasmas are great with motion, LCDs are more energy efficient, while Plasmas are very energy inefficient etc.
