ive been a sky cunstomer for about 6 years, i have 3 multiroom boxes with them and im in the mood to get myself a sky+ box for xmas.

imagine my shock when they tell me it'll be €200 for a sky+ box, when, if im a new customer,id get it for FREE?! i know sky have never looked after their customers well, but this is taking the piss!

Tell them this - they might talk to a manager and give it to you for free.

    It's been done before

well on sky's website the sky+ box has gone back up to €49 after being free for a few days!

rang sky to find out what could be done, and for some reason....after them telling me last week that existing customers must pay the full price of €149 + €50 installation, today they tell me that existing customers AND new customers can get a sky+ box for the price of €49 + €50 installation.

sky+HD boxes are €149 +€50 for new AND existing customers rather than €249 as i was quoted before.

When you call sky its like a lottery.

Take everything they tell you on th ephonelines with a pinch of salt.

99% of the staff are all mixed up they never know what is going on regarding offers and prices especially for ROI and Euro prices v Sterling GBP.

funny story re skys call centre, they also handle tesco's online shopping help line, as i found out when i got the same scottish bloke on the same day, once for sky and once for tesco!

its like fonejacker where the bloke is reading off the same script on the screen, today the bird tried to sell me sky....after seeing i already have a sky account.....guess she just got to that bit on the script!

good old sky satellite service providings

What about telling them your stopping with them, if they say why tell them you're moving over to Freesat. If they try and talk you out and say what can they do to change your mind tell them a free $ky + and installation.

    Why not try it.
